Since 1960, the Stanwood Camano Area Foundation (SCAF) has created lasting legacies that enhance the quality of life in the greater Stanwood and Camano Island region. SCAF is your local source of comprehensive charitable gift planning that, through scholarships, grants, and community inititives, helps you meet your philanthropic goals by funding programs that directly benefit our community.
Today, the Foundation managers close to 90 funds that meet a broad array of community needs. Through these funds SCAF is helping build a healthy, sustainable community that supports basic needs, promotes arts and culture, advances education and creates lasting sustainability. Area individuals and businesses turn to the Foundation to make their philanthropic giving as effective as possible. Working together, we are able to support innovative projects that are measured for the broadest community impact. The Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation is a non-profit - tax-exempt charity.
Important Dates to Remember:
- High School Scholarships deadline is March 9, 2012
- Music Scholarships deadline is October 31, 2012.
- Community Grant Program deadline to apply is March 1, 2012
- The 2012 Philantropists Breakfast will be held at the Floyd Noorgaard Cultural Center on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 8:00 until 9:30 am.
- High School Scholarship Night will be in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Stanwood High School on May 29, 2012.
