Enhancement Grants

The Educational Enhancement Grant program provides additional resources, experiences, and opportunities for students in the Stanwood-Camano School District. These grants help educators implement innovative and meaningful projects that directly enhance student learning.

Eligibility Requirements

Any staff member of the Stanwood-Camano School District may apply.

Available Funds
Individual Grants
Up to $1,000
Collaborative Grants
Up to $3,000

Grant Qualifications

  • Grants are for the 2026-2027 school year and must be spent by April 15, 2027.

  • Grants cannot be used for salaries, benefits, conference fees, snacks or meals, field trips, professional development, incentives, or computer items not supported by SCSD Technology.

  • Applications will be reviewed and approved by building administrators and any relevant department.

  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Projects must align with SCSD’s strategic plan and SCAF’s mission.

  • Project budgets must follow District purchasing guidelines. Unused funds will be reserved by SCAF for future grants.

  • Materials or equipment purchased with grant funds are property of SCSD and may be shared or transferred between schools with approval.

  • If a grant recipient changes schools or roles before implementation, SCAF will determine the disposition of funds in consultation with District staff.

Application Process

The application will request the following
  • Contact Info & School
    Applicant name(s) and school(s)

  • Project Title
    Short, clear, descriptive title

  • Project Description
    Overview of the project, number of students impacted, and why it’s needed

  • Student Outcomes
    Skills, abilities, or behaviors students will gain

  • Success Measures
    How you will evaluate the project
  • Timeline
Key dates and anticipated completion

  • Funding History
Has this project received prior funding?

  • Sustainability
Can the project be repeated or reused in future years?

  • Budget 
Itemized costs, including vendors, tax, shipping, and other resources
Applications are reviewed and scored by community volunteers. Most reviewers are not educators, so keep language simple. Criteria include:
  • Innovative and educational nature of the project

  • Realistic and achievable goals

  • Initial and ongoing benefit to students

  • Realistic budget

  • Number of students impacted

  • Measurable outcomes
Grant recipients must submit a brief report by April 15 of the grant year, including:
  • Project Details
    Number of students/staff served, project activities, dates

  • Challenges & Learnings
    Any obstacles and what you learned

  • Project Impact
    Describe results, include data, quotes, stories, and photos (with consent)
