SCAF is adding a Communications & Marketing Specialist to our team.
We're looking for someone who is an excellent writer, a curious storyteller, highly organized, and comfortable moving between creative projects and deadline-driven communications. This person should enjoy learning about people and organizations, finding the story behind the work, and helping others understand why local philanthropy matters.
Most importantly, they should be able to communicate not only what SCAF does, but why it matters.

The Communications & Marketing Specialist tells the story of the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation (SCAF) and connects donors, nonprofits, fundholders, and community members with opportunities to strengthen our community.
This position serves as SCAF's primary communications and content specialist, creating engaging and consistent communications across print and digital platforms. Responsibilities include donor and nonprofit newsletters, website content, donor communications, fundraising campaigns, fund marketing, impact storytelling, and other communications that increase awareness of SCAF and inspire local philanthropy.
The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and storyteller who can take complex information and turn it into clear, engaging communications for a variety of audiences.

Our program allows individuals, families, groups, or businesses to offer scholarships without creating their own award process. The deadline to establish a new scholarship for the following application cycle is Dec. 1 (High School) or May 1 (Adult).
